When it’s time for you to leave our hospital, we want to make sure you get home as quickly and safely as possible. That’s why Mount Carmel offers convenient bedside delivery and refill services for prescription medications. Taking your medications as prescribed is the best way to help make sure you have a safe return home, a complete recovery and that you won’t need to return to the hospital.
How Bedside Delivery Works
- A pharmacy representative will visit you while you’re in the hospital and ask if you would like to sign up for bedside. Then they will coordinate payment and review medications needed, if necessary.
- When your doctor places an order for your take home prescriptions with our pharmacy, we will work to coordinate any prior authorizations with your insurance to ensure there are no delays in starting your medications.
- A pharmacy representative will deliver your prescriptions directly to your hospital bedside and answer any questions before you leave.
Need a Refill?
Like any other retail pharmacy, we can refill your prescriptions. Simply call our pharmacy to let us know what you need and we will prepare your prescription medications for you. We can even transfer in and fill prescriptions from other local pharmacies for you.

Our pharmacy accepts most commercial insurance plans.
Your prescription medication cost (copays) will be comparable to other retail pharmacies, and we provide convenient and timely delivery at no extra cost to you.
We cannot add this charge to your hospital bill. Copays are due when prescription medication orders are placed. We accept cash and all major credit cards.
A pharmacist is available to answer your prescription questions during your stay and after you leave the hospital.
Our retail pharmacy is located at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s just inside the main entrance. This location provides prescription service support to all Mount Carmel locations.
Our retail pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Open Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closing for lunch 1:00-1:30), and closed on Sundays.
